Fourteen

Description - Dark, dry-hopped ale

Maker - Avery

Notes - Reminiscent of almost a barley wine but with hints of chocolate, molasses, and a very distinct roasted finish, this brew is a real delight. Rich and unique, I could sit down with this brew any day.

9/10

Redpoint

Description - Red ale brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops, and yeast

Maker - Avery Brewing Company

Notes - This was a very nice, all around beer. Smooth, but textured, and thankfully lacking Avery's overpowering hoppy finish.

Spruce Mountain Honey Wine

Description - Honey Wine with Cinnamon & Nutmeg

Maker - Spruce Mountain Meadery

Notes - A little heavy on the sweet side, but still very nice. An excellent dessert drink, with only a slight hint of the spices.

8/10

2005 Grande River Viognier

Description - 2005 Viognier

Maker - Grande River Vineyards

Notes - This had a very mellow flavor for a white wine, and as such lacked many distinctive characteristics. Mildly sweet, yet a little tart.

6/10

Moosehead

Description - Lager Beer

Maker - Moosehead Breweries, Canada

Notes - A very nice, well rounded, light beer. With its full flavor and polished edge, it's sure to suite a wide variety of palates.

Morimoto Soba Ale

Description - Roasted Soba, Harrington, Metcalf, Munich & C-15 Malts, Crystal Hops, Free Range Coastal Waters, Top Fermenting Pacman Yeast

Notes - Really a well-rounded ale. Full-bodied and flavorful. The soba really adds a lot to the overall balance.

8/10

Spiced Nektar Mead

Description - Spiced Mead

Maker - Rockey Mountain Vineyards

Notes - This amazingly smooth blend of sweet mead and mulling spices is a pleasure on the palate. A candy none too sweet.
